From an early age, I began to paint and sew, two passions that have shaped my creative journey. Over time, I combined these interests in my art tutorships, exploring compositions that brought design and storytelling together.
Today, I’ve taken a different path. I design, compose, and apply the techniques I’ve honed over the years to transform garments into entirely new creations that no longer resemble their original form. This process is called upcycling, and it’s at the heart of my work.
I have become a Cloth Controller, washing, rehashing, distressing, gathering, extending, cropping, tearing, tattering, highlighting, lowlighting, enhancing, decorating, machine-sewing, coloring, bleaching, embroidering, attaching… and washing again. Every piece is treated uniquely, guided by its story, sometimes romantic, sometimes boldly street grunge.
